How Does Your Garden Grow

Many people assume as your family grows there will be less and less of you to go around. But we have discovered that parenting is less like mathematics and a lot like gardening. God’s ways are mysterious like that! Ha! Division brings multiplication! When you divide the plants, your garden grows!

Love is just like that! Nurture, attention and love increase and spread out as we bend down, dig in and plant nurture plants, attention plants and love plants. We “divide” ourselves among our children. Yet, as we tend to our family with tender, loving care God’s multiplies the seed sown, and all those roots that are being planted and distributed throughout the garden grow and thrive.

God is the One Who brings the flourishing harvest. We trust Him. He promises abounding grace. Through sowing the “forever and always and no matter what” kind of love a young person will bloom and grow where they’re planted. πŸ˜€

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this I say, he which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart,
so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:
for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you;
that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things,
may abound to every good work:

  2. Beautiful post and image! Each time a child was about to be added to my family I used to wonder if I could love the new child as much as the child or children I already had. And each time I found what you have stated to be true. Love is multiplied!

    • Delana, Isn’t that so wonderful! ! I wish everyone realized this, then let go of their fears & concerns and let God bless them with children whether they have one child or twenty! Lol! Just trust the Lord! πŸ™‚ I know this is a sensitive issue in our culture today. ~❀️ Melissa
