Do You Know the Joyful Sound?!

Psalm 89:15-17a

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound:

they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of Thy countenance.

In Thy name shall they rejoice all the day:

and in Thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

For Thou art the glory of their strength:

I don’t know about you, but the life I want to live is the one there in Psalm 89:15-17!

My flesh gets tangled up in the little but, oh, so loud messes and upsets

that are a natural part of everyday life.

My spirit wants to know, really know, the joyful sound!

My heart wants to walk in the light of God’s countenance!

My soul wants to rejoice in Jesus all day, and be lifted up in His righteousness!

That’s the life my heart cries out for!!!

Walking with Jesus,

“We have heard the joyful sound”

We have heard the joyful sound:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Bear the news to every land,
Climb the steeps and cross the waves;
Onward!–’tis our Lord’s command;
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Waft it on the rolling tide,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Tell to sinners far and wide,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Sing, ye islands of the sea,
Echo back, ye ocean caves;
Earth shall keep her jubilee,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.

Sing above the battle’s strife,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
By His death and endless life,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Sing it softly thru the gloom,
When the heart for mercy craves,
Sing in triumph o’er the tomb,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.

Give the winds a mighty voice,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Let the nations now rejoice.
Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Shout salvation full and free,
Highest hills and deepest caves,
This our song of victory,
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.
