Live Out Our Faith

“Preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” ~ St. Francis of Assisi

I think we Christians stay too long in the “observation” stage of our Bible reading and study. We meditate, and ponder, even memorize Scripture. But, what after all this, do we do with what we have observed from the Scriptures?

The stage that is to immediately follow observation is “application”. We are to OBEY God’s Word, thus living out our faith.

Application is Obedience and this active not passive. Yes, It is needful to *”Be still, and know that I am God…”, and to **”Study to show thyself approved unto God”…but then the latter reference continues with…”a workman that needeth not to be ashamed…”. A workman. We don’t need to expound on that. It’s simply put and understood.

I encourage you, and even urge you, to look up the following passages. Seek the Lord. Discover specifically how He wants to direct you to Live Out Your Faith this Christmas season and each day for the rest of your life.

What rich blessings await both the receiver and the giver!!!!

Simply some passages for your observation, meditation and application:

Matthew 25:35-46
1st John 3 and 4
James 1 and 2
Hebrews 13:21
Romans 12:1-2
2nd Corinthians 9:6-8
John 13:34-35
Philippians 2:1-4
Colossians 3:12-17
Zechariah 7:8-14
Matthew 5:16
*Psalm 46:10
**2 Timothy 2:15

God bless you! I pray for you; for us all, that we will live out our faith. Enjoy delving into God’s Word and then putting into practice what you learn there!

Walking with Jesus,
Melissa
