Gifts for JESUS at CHRISTmas

And, the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. ~Luke 2:10-14

Please tell us about the gifts you and your family bring to Jesus at CHRISTmas time!

What traditions do you adhere to that make it all about HIM?

Please share with us the special ways that help you and your family celebrate the TRUTH of CHRISTMAS!

At Christmas time, I think we all strive, yet still sometimes struggle to focus on The LORD and not get swept away with the typical materialistic traditions of buy, buy, buy; and more, more, more!

Let’s STOP now. Let’s share and encourage one another!

Let’s determine to deliberately exalt CHRIST in all we do this season!

Let’s get radical and start NEW traditions!

THANK YOU for taking the time to share your comments, ideas and experiences with us!

I can’t wait to glean from your wisdom!!!

Walking with JESUS,

  1. Our kids are grown, but each year, we set out a toy nativity set where the grandkids can reach it. We let them play with it and over and over through the season when they visit, we get all of the characters out and go through the story once again about Jesus’ birth. As they get older, they want to help Grandpa tell the story. Precious times.

    • That’s wonderful! We bought a Fisher Price nativity play set a few years ago. The kids love playing with and, like you all, we love that they can replay and retell these true stories from the Bible! Thank you for sharing that!

  2. We make a birthday cake for Jesus and sing happy birthday to Him and then read the Christmas story before we open presents on Christmas morning. We eat the cake for breakfast. (Usually banana or blueberry muffin type cakes) Makes a quick and easy breakfast. The girls start talking about Jesus’ birthday cake usually before we even get the christmas decorations out.

    • Kristy, that is awesome! We used to make a birthday cake for Jesus. I’m not sure how we got out of the habit. Thanks for the reminder! I wish more moms had responded. I was anxious to be inspired:). Love you friend!
